Tall stories

Fact 44

Kids' bodies release more growth hormones during sleep, so too many late nights can leave you short-tempered... and short!

Fact 45

When you wake up after a good night's sleep, you will be about 3 cm (1 in) taller than when you went to bed. During the day, gravity compresses the discs in your spines making you shorter, but as you sleep and relax in a horizontal position, those discs expand again.
